Experts from hospitals and medical practices did not want to miss out on
the 40th Medica in Düsseldorf, Germany. About 138,000 professional visitors
from 100 countries attended Medica - the world's largest forum for medical
products - from November 18th to 21st, 2009 (2008: 137,000 visitors).
Toshiba's booth was again crowded all days through. Joerg Pfeiffer, Head
of Marketing of Toshiba Medical Systems Germany (TMSG), commented: "72 % of the visitors participating in the Medica clearly belong to the
decision makers within the healthcare system. That is why Toshiba hit their
target group at 100 %."
We exhibited our complete product range from the Aquilion One CT
scanner to a whole range of ultrasound
systems. The stand's perfect
configuration was one of the key
factors which enabled us to take care
of our customers optimally and
making them feel to be in good hands.
Frank Hassel, TMSG's Ultrasound Business Unit Manager, commented: "The excellent sales figures achieved on
this year's Medica are a result of the interaction between a highly motivated sales team and its' commitment, the
excellent range of products and the perfect configuration of the stand." |

The renowned 2D image quality of our products, innovative technology and trend-setting developments such as
our new ultrasound generation Viamo and Aplio MX attracted many customers to visit our booth.
The complete ultrasound portfolio - from the Famio XG to the Artida - was
not only exhibited but also demonstrated in practice. Many customers -
having been thoroughly acquainted with the latest innovations on the stand -
took the decision to buy a Toshiba system on the spot. Nearly 100 ultrasound
systems were sold in the course of the four Medica days amounting in a
record-breaking turnover. This year especially sophisticated high-end systems
such as Viamo, Xario, Aplio and Artida were in demand. And our most
recent development - the Aplio MX - went from being a newcomer to the
shooting star of the exhibit. |
An enthusiastic and highly motivated sales
and applications team has made Medica 2009
an overwhelming success for Toshiba Medical
Systems. |
